CMMU welcomes Professor Kelvin W. Willoughby as Chair of the Entrepreneurship Management Program.
Professor Willoughby comes to CMMU from the U. of Minnesota where he held an Endowed Chair as Professor of Technology Management. He holds two Ph.D.'s, in Strategic Management from the U. of Western Australia and in Technology Management from Murdoch University (Aus). Prof. Willoughby will work with other faculty members at CMMU to develop a new Center for Entrepreneurship and expand our research, development, and business-start-up activities. He will also hold a joint appointment at the Faculty of Science in Mahidol University.
Preparing Managers For Action: A Problem-based Approach
A new book on management education co-authored by Prof. Philip Hallinger (CMMU-Mahidol) and Prof. Edwin M. Bridges (Stanford University) is complete and will be published by Springer Press (Netherlands) in 2007. Acknowledging critiques of management education by Mintzberg, Pfeffer, Bennis and others, the authors explain how management education can be organized to develop knowledge and skills that can be applied to the practice of management.
